Doing it old school

Memphis is literally walk/ running with his walkers now so fast that I can hardly get the camera running in time to capture him! We had so much fun today at the Ft. Worth Art Festival and before hand got to go to a fave place of mine (Colters BBQ) We had one by my parents growing up but 10 years ago they tore it down... Arlington built one 3 years ago and we finally went today! Memphis got to enjoy brisket, pulled pork, rolls, mac and cheese, hash brown casserole. That kid couldn't get enough! Needless to say I've changed his diaper like 4 times in the past hour. And the day before we went to lunch with my mother in law , where Memphy ate pretty much the whole serving of green beans I had. He is such a great eater and also tried scrambled eggs this morning and loved them. So far he seems like he will be a great eater and not too picky ( except on green peas , he hates them , as do I ) The art festival was super crowded but Memphis had a blast riding on JimPaws shoulders. My brother , Maggie, niece, Travis, and mom all went and I wish the weather guys werent wrong half the time because i sweated my butt off in jeans and half boots. Um 65 degrees for the high was a direct lie. Heres a video of Memphis using his train to walk, he got it stuck but was smart to back up and steer it. Come on , super friggin smart!!!

Lunch with GrandMa Cookie , shopping with Blue and Cookie (they bought lots of cute outfits bought for Memphis) and Dr. Delphinium flowers just because. Wonderful Friday!! We even scored a free Yo Gabba Gabba BroBee toy at lunch (the guy filling up the claw machine decided Memphis should get on for free) Got gorgeous Hydrangeas and calla lilies, now i hope they live for more than a week!!

Allergies are making me ugly

So this weekend we were thinking of taking a family trip to San Antonio but with mine and Memphis allergies flared up ALL week, we sadly postponed..... Memphis is on Zyrtec ( singulairdidn't help much) and all week he was up on the hour every hour, making for one extra extra tired mamma. I've been getting ok sleep ( about 6-7 hours a night) but this week was like 4 hour nights.. So my mom and dad watched Memphis Friday and we had dinner with my cousin Brooklyn and her boyfriend. We sat on the patio for 3 hours at dinner ( NOT a good idea) and when we got home my eyes were pretty much swelled shut and my nose was running like afaucet. So much for the sleep, i was up sneezing and got screwed out of my " Yay! we have a babysitter night" snooze. But for what its worth Mr. Memphis had a blast with Nini and JimPaw at Jason's Deli patio in Dallas and the horse races/ concert. Mom said everyone thought he was adorable and he watched the horses very closely and would kick his legs when they'd run by. I still feel like crap so i got lucky and bowed out of planting flowers in our yard today! Travis made it look pretty awesome, hes a Edward scissor hand tree sculptor. Oh and i forgot to mention when they were coming into the races there was a dead man on the ground surrounded by coroners. What the Hell???

At Last...

So after going to the pediatrician for Memphis 9 month checkup last week we were on our last trial for allegry relief suggestions. We have tried childrens Zyrtec , humidifier, Vicks on tummy at night time, Claritin, no Benedryll because my mother and I are highly allergic, filling a bathroom with steam at night.... Finally tried Singulair powder form ( put on his dinner, no taste ) So far this is the only thing to keep him from scratching all over and staying up ALL night!! We have gotten a Rx for a year prescription after seeing relief after 1 week. I have blessed him with mine and my fathers Terrible allergies and sinus issues. Lord it only took almost a year but I think we've found a solution! Looking forward to Easter this weekend. My niece will be 1 month old this weekend and I cant wait to see Memphis and Bree Bree decked out in their Easter garb. Finally got our bedroom furniture in (sold our old set for 400 bucks , was excited to get that much back so we can paint and get all new decorations) I feel as if i have to get a running start to get in bed, upgraded to king sleigh bed set and a new pillow top mattress. It's a good 3 feet taller than our old queen bed..... Wish we would've gotten it sooner seeing as how my back seems to be getting alot more relief. Poor Travis threw his back out moving our old furniture out so looks like maybe couples massages for these old birds! ( just need to find a good massage place where the women giving your massage don't smell like cigg smoke: Massage Envy Murphy) Oh and charge your credit card twice and take a week to fix it..... Ugh. I swear i can take a relaxing thing and have it turn into a stress ball nightmare.
