5 months old!!

So since the christmas holiday season is here the fave thing to do in the King & Sanderfer household is watch all the awesome xmas flicks. Christmas Vacation, Elf, Rudolph...... I cant wait for next year to sit and watch all the holiday stuff with Mr. Memph!!! He has always been a active baby but lately when we are all on the couch he likes to climb all over us like a jungle gym, i can tell this lil guy is going to keep me very busy! JimPaw & Nini kept him last Saturday and they took him to the Galleria to see Santa ice skate. He did so good! No crying at all! Sunday we met the inlaws for lunch and he also knocked the great behavior out the park! and to start off the week Monday he was wonderful while i shopped and met Daddy for lunch. He is now starting to try and articulate things , the different sounds and tones in his voice are beyond adorable! Thinking we have a couple more weeks until the crawling gets down but i feel a first word coming on...Mamma

So this was a packed weekend. It seems like every Nov-Jan every day is jam packed with going on's.... Mr. Memphis is growing so fast ( sitting up by himself for brief periods, attempting to crawl, and getting himself into a bridge position) The baby food and sleeping through the night still don't tempt him but we are gradually getting better! I'm so fortunate to be a stay at home mom, but this is by far the hardest job I've ever had!! And FYI colic can last longer than 3 months. He loves having Christmas songs sung to him. Dashing through the snow, Rocking around the Christmas tree, Rudolph, and White Christmas (sung in a creepy low old man voice) I'm very impressed with myself for getting 90 percent of my Christmas shopping done and Xmas family pics done. My mother would say that's more my extreme OCD and extreme organizing playing out. Her diagnosis.....like that's a bad thing?? Now that hes getting bigger, he's better at riding in a car and restaurants without def con 7 happening. Bless his heart. I'm pretty sure he doesn't sleep because he doesn't want to miss out on a minute of fun with his mom. right? Looking forward to the Holidays. Hoping Santa doesn't forget this girl. I've been good. too good. Oh and if anyone has crazy Ambien stories, do tell. I need major help with my sleeping and my mother says Ambien makes people sleep walk and drive their cars into oncoming traffic. Where she gets this stuff, i'll never know.

5 year wedding anniversary

God time has flown by. Since Travis and I have been together for 12 years this 5 years really felt like a short period. On our wedding anniversary we went out for my fave(lobster)followed by a great Deep Ellum art show we were invited to. My mother in law ,the comedian, told me to make sure we conceived a baby sister for Memphis that night ( she was babysitting) Nope. no way. Here are some pics to reminisce from our wedding...... I know 90 percent of our guests that night dont remember anything(magarita fountain) We were even featured in a magazine and photography book for our wedding pics that won our photog, Jim Herndon, awards.

Memphis has started to sit up in his bathtub by himself and can sit up half way by himself on the floor! He also has started to crawl push himself on our bed, i know within the next couple of weeks he will be getting it down good! We work with him every night and he has gotten the army crawl and putting his legs under him to push down! Such a big , strong boy at only 4 1/2 months old!!!
