My gorgeous niece Aubrey!! Born March 7th at 10:59 pm. 6 lb 3 oz., 19 1/2 long (she was 4 weeks early) In NICU until this weekend, going to see her this afternoon! Gotta get a bow on that head. Stat!

New trick alert..

First word: Dada. Memphis is pulling up on everything, trying to cruise on anything he can get a hold of! He is also in love with waving bye-bye. We waved bye bye to computer today for almost 10 minutes! Getting excited for our trip to NYC with my parents, the weather this weekend is supposed to be in the high 50's. Perfect!! Happy 8 months Memphis!!

Rough start to the day with a face plant onto his crib, but was quickly calmed with his Elmo boo boo gel pack!! He has been sleeping great and his two lil teethies are finally popping out!! Growing sooooooooooo fast, too fast! He pulls up on everything and I literally cannot keep up with him! Heres some pics of Memphis at Cookie and Blue's house for a campfire with marshmallows , he had fun!! Mamma and daddy got to go to eat with Bibi and Kyle and saw Wandurlust. The movie was potty humor and had enough , more than enough penis shots for my taste!! Not as funny as i thought, but there is one bathroom scene that i literally had tears in my eyes laughing so hard. and my foot extended by my ear laughing my cousin said..... Memphis is getting to go see Sesame Street Live Thursday with his Aunt Rhi Rhi and Cookie and I know hes gonna love it!!

Skinny Girl Margaritas. Im in Heaven

Today went to a ladies lunch with my mother in law and Memphis and had the best, i mean best Skinny girl Margarita at Desperado's on Jupiter Rd. Im not a drinker but today was craving a margarita and went for the skinny girl one. I dont eat sugar usually and this was by far the best drink I've ever had. No joke. Not very sweet but not overly tart. On the rocks and no drop left. I usually take 2-3 drinks of Travs but this mamma had her own today. Had my big girl panties on. They were nice enough to give us the recipe and I cant wait to make these. Sounds simple, we will see. The key is the agave juice and Sauza brand silver tequila...

February and 78 degrees, Love you Texas

Had a wonderful day going to lunch with Nana and Papa, then after we went and had a great time at the park. Memphis seemed to enjoy sitting in my lap and swinging high opposed to swinging in the baby swings. He also got to slide down the small slide with me and his great grandma Nana. When we got home we took Whiskey for a walk and boy was I over doing it with my jogger stroller and a dog on a leash. She wanted to lead and couldnt understand that if she got in the front shed get run over. Well I half ran her over. Now I know why i take Whiskey with us when Trav is home. And poor thing ran into a prickly stick bush because her eyebrows are too long. We are all needless to say pooped out.

Meat Eater

Mr. Memphis is turning 8 months next week and boy has the first year flown by!! He had his first taste of baby food with meat in it and I've never seen a baby open their mouth as wide as he did with Ham/ Pineapple. He scarfed down the jar!! So mom and i went and got more meats and he is a MEAT eater!! He loves the meat/ fruit combos more than anything so far!! Hes slept very well lately and napped also.I have got the schedule down to a art form now and he is like clockwork when he gets up. I actually watched almost a whole movie while he napped today which happens never. The Help was such a wonderful movie, wish id had a chance to watch it sooner. Cant believe the weather this week February and 78?? crazy. Monday schools were out so mom and i shopped literally all day , lunched , then dinner with dad. Memphis never fussed once, hes gonna be my shopping buddy!! Tomorrow we have a lunch date with Nana & Papa and then the park by their house!! 73 for the high!! Then Thursday Memphis has a lunch date with my mother in law so she can show him off to friends. This child is so busy my calender has become littered with Memphis' busy agenda. Heres a great pic of Memphis eating his fave food BBQ sauce aka.... Prunes. I usually keep him spotless when feeding but today let him enjoy the fun of messy eating...
